Beijing, China, May 25th - Yugoslav national football team began its Asian tour very successfully by beating China 2-0 (1-0) in Beijing.

The Chinese, coached by Yugoslav Bora Milutinovic, showed great deal of belligerence and physical readiness, but they also revealed insufficient experience and skill for playing on equal terms with Yugoslav players. The guests played rationally and used all the opposing team's mistakes.

The defense was worse part of Yugoslav team's play. The Chinese had goal opportunities on several occasions, but goalkeepers Ivica Kralj in the first and Aleksandar Kocic in the second half, with a few good saves showed that they are in-form.

Yugoslavia's manager Vujadin Boskov said after the match that he was well surprised by the playing of both debutantes, Mateja Kezman and Ivan Dudic. Kezman marked his first match for Yugoslav national team with a goal, while Dudic showed that he was the best replacement for the punished right back, Zoran Mirkovic.

GOALS

1-0 (20th minute) - Mateja Kezman seized on a loose ball in the Chinese area after a low left-wing cross delivered by Jovan Stankovic.

2-0 (73rd minute) - After a midfield pass from Mijatovic, Kovacevic found himself one-on-one with goalkeeper and hit the net from the edge of the penalty area.
