Charleroi, Belgium, June 12th - Yugoslav manager, Vujadin Boskov, together with captains Dragan Stojkovic, Predrag Mijatovic and Sinisa Mihajlovic, held the last press conference shortly before the first match of the national team at the European Championship, on July 13th against Slovenia.
The manager stressed that the "blue players" came to fight for victory in every match, no matter who the opponent may be. Boskov pointed out that the injuries which followed some players are "completely cured" and that "everything is in perfect order" now.
Boskov admitted that his biggest problem was to form the team of players who play in different clubs where they have acquired different habits, have different trainings, different approach to game and specific role in the team.
Sinisa Mihajlovic said that "those who underestimate the team from Ljubljana are indeed mistaken" as well as "those who put it among the outsiders".
"We can win only by a good play", stressed Mihajlovic, while Dragan Stojkovic said that "he has much respect for Slovenian football" and that the match must be entered "with extreme seriousness", since it will be, he estimated, "a very tough game".
On the other hand, captain of the Slovenian national team, Zlatko Zahovic, is an optimist. He admits that Yugoslav team is consisted of "many good individuals", but that "Slovenia has a team" which will, according to his opinion, be a great advantage for his co-players.
The match is played on June 13th in Belgian town Charleroi, on the stadium "Communal" at 8:45 p.m. The referee is Vitor Manuel Melo Pereira (Portugal), and the match will start the following players:
