Stojkovic's second football youth

Second football youth: Dragan Stojkovic

Paris, June 19 - Today's issue of the French sport journal L'Equipe praises Yugoslav footballers' play in EURO 2000 match with Norway.

The French sport journal reporters from Liege particularly underscore technique of the Yugoslav team, its tough and organized play, which enabled them to score a victory over Norway (1-0) and find their place on the threshold of qualifying in European Championship quarterfinals.

Berlin, June 19 - Yugoslavia has to be concerned about its football future since it still has not found adequate replacement for still great, but aging "playmaker" Dragan Stojkovic, German sport analysts stress today, regarding the Yugoslav national team victory over Norway.

German former top football player Günter Netzer underscored that Stojkovic is "an ingenious player", since "he can lead the play, change the rhythm and bring the opponent's defense in checkmate position with his murderous, long passes".

General assessment of all German analysts is that last night's match in Liege was played by "a completely different Yugoslavia" as compared to the one which had an awful time with "small" Slovenians.

Lisbon, June 19 - "Yugoslav footballers came to European Championship with high reputation and full right to storm the title", stressed the analyst of the Portuguese sports daily A Bola, after good performance and great victory of Yugoslavia over the Norwegians in Liege.

He assessed that Vujadin Boskov's men have brought back the elixir of attractive football art to the European Championship. The latter was supressed by robust tackles and unmeasured bursts of fury and strength unpleasant to football lovers.

All Portuguese media have unanimously agreed that the man of the match was Dragan Stojkovic who gave a brilliant peace of play.
