One step to quarter-finals

Ljubinko Drulovic (Yugoslavia)

Edegem, Belgium, June 20th - Yugoslav national football team left from Edegem to Bruges this morning, where they will play the last determining match of the group "C" in the European championship, against Spain. Only one point is enough for Yugoslavia to be placed in the quarter-finals, while Spanish players need victory in order to win one of the first two places in the group, with no regards to result of the match between Norway and Slovenia.

"We must pay special attention to striker Raul and mid-fielder Guardiola. These two are dangerous players capable of solving the match. They will be given strict defenders", Yugoslav national team manager, Vujadin Boskov revealed this as part of the tactics.

Yugoslav representation structure will not be changed much in regard to the one which gave excellent playing against Norway. The only certain thing is return of Sinisa Mihajlovic to the team, due to which Nisa Saveljic will move to the bench.

Captain Dragan Stojkovic was also great optimist before trip to Bruges, who gave an excellent piece of play against Norway.

"It is most important that we play in disciplined manner and be motivated, and I hope that, therefore, the result will be satisfactory", Stojkovic said.

To the question of whether he expected Verona of ten years ago, at the World Cup in Italy to repeat, when Yugoslavia beat Spain with 2:0, Stojkovic said:

"I would like that to repeat, although 10 years have passed from that match. It is not important whether I would be the shooter of these two goals, but it would nevertheless be very pleasing to win by two goals` difference", Stojkovic concluded.
