KÍ Klaksvík - RED STAR 0-3 (0-1)

Goran Drulic (Red Star)

Faroe Islands, July 12 - Red Star Belgrade won 3-0 (1-0) away against KÍ Klaksvík from the Faroe Islands in the Football Champions' League first qualifying round first leg match.

Yugoslav champion left it late to secure their commanding lead in the tie. Dejan Ilic gave the Belgrade side the lead after 43 minutes, but they missed a chance to double that tally a minute later when Leo Lerinc missed the penalty-kick.

Indeed, they had to wait until the 78th minute for their second, which came from Dragan Stevanovic. A third from Vladislav Mirkovic in injury time virtually assured the Yugoslavs of a Second Qualifying Round clash with FC Torpedo Kutaisi of Georgia.
