Sinisa Mihajlovic

The Yugoslav national football team player Sinisa Mihajlovic scored his 17th free kick goal and fifth in this season in the Italian championship. Thus he confirmed the Lacio's victory over the leader of the championship Fiorentina 2-0.

At the Olympic stadium in Rome, Lacio had the initiative in the field and created several promising chances to score the goal against the guests from Florence. However, the first goal came only in 66th minute when Vieri scored the first goal. All dilemmas who will be the winner of this game were resolved in 89 minute. The referee whistled free kick at the distance of about 30 m from the Fiorentina's goal. Mihajlovic performed an excellent kick and sent the ball in the right bottom corner of the Toldo's goal.

Another Yugoslav player Dejan Stankovic also played but his playing was in the shadow of the fantastic Mihajlovic's goal.

The Yugoslav players marked the Spanish football championship again. In this weekend derby, Mallorca with Jovan Stankovic beat Real Madrid 2-1 and kept the top position in the standings.

Darko Kovacevic continued scoring goals. With his two goals against Salamanca, he was one of the most meritorious for the triumph of Real Sociedad 4-0. Scoring a goal two minutes before the end, Savo Milosevic provided a draw for Zaragoza in the game with Villareal 1-1.
