Celebration of 200th anniversary of First Serbian Uprising and creation of Serbian modern state held

Feb 15 - The 200th anniversary of the First Serbian Uprising and the creation of modern Serbian state has been celebrated today in Orasac, the place where Serbian leader Vozd Karadjordje Petrovic raised Serbian people to fight against Ottoman Turk oppressors on Feb 15, 1804


Serbia marks Statehood Day this weekend

Feb 13 - Life and Work of Immortal Vozd Karadjordje will premier at the Belgrade National Theatre on Saturday, Feb 14 at 19.00 to open a central celebration marking the 200th anniversary of the First Serbian Uprising and the creation of the modern Serbian state. The ceremony will continue in Orasac on Sunday, Feb 15

World famous architect Rem Koolhaas in Belgrade

Nov 27 - One of the world's leading architects, Rem Koolhaas, will present his latest achievements to the Belgrade audience on Nov 28 and 29. In an effort to explore the relation between architecture and identity, he will conduct a workshop entitled "Serbia's New Identity" in which many local artists, architects, theoreticians, sociologists, anthropologists, and marketing experts will take part. They will discuss issues important to the question of Serbia's positioning in the international political and economic context
