Government approves further steps to dismantle RA nuclear reactor

March 1 - The Serbian government adopted on Thursday conclusions on further activities to implement a programme called "A Green Vinca," including the dismantling of the RA nuclear reactor and the removal from it of radioactive fuel, which is to be shipped and temporarily stored in Russia

Conference on combating AIDS held in Dublin

Serbia's road signalisation in line with European standards

Former UN peacekeeper arrested

Feb 4 - The Serbian police's department for fighting organised crime (UBPOK) has said that its officers have arrested Stevan Grba, 21, from Smederevo, a former member of the UN's peacekeeping forces in Bosnia-Herzegovina, on suspicion that he had illegally kept and sold firearms and explosives


Control and prevention of mad cow disease to be established

Feb 3 - Serbian Minister of Agriculture and Water Management Stojan Jevtic and Swiss Ambassador to Serbia-Montenegro Gaudenz Ruf signed today a Memorandum of Understanding related to a project of building capacities for supervision and protection against the mad cow disease and other animal diseases


Crude oil processing fees down $1.40 against January

Feb 2 - The Serbian Ministry of Energy and Mining has cut February crude oil processing fees by $1.40 per tonne against January, to $34.56 per tonne at the Pancevo refinery and $25.56 at the Novi Sad refinery
