YUGOSLAVIA - France 3-1

Viener Neustadt, Austria, Sept 8 - Yugoslav men's national volleyball team won its second triumph at the 21st European Volleyball Championship. After beating Czech Republic in the first round of the Championship, Yugoslav finest volleyball players have won against France as well, the fourth team at the last year's Championship, with the result 3-1 (25-12, 25-17, 25-27, 25-17 ), placing it self at the semi-finals of this competition.

In the first round of the Championship, Frenchmen proved their top condition since they've beaten the current Olympics Champion, the Holland team 3-1. However, the Yugoslav team played the first two sets with no mistakes and absolutely won them - the first 25-12, and the second 25-17.

In the third set, concentration of the Yugoslav team weakened for a moment and the Frenchmen smartly used the situation.

But, in the fourth set, Yugoslav volleyball players have demonstrated all of their qualities and won the final result with an excellent game.

The best players of the Yugoslav team were Batez and Nikola Grbic.

Tomorrow, September 9, the Yugoslav team is playing against Netherlands
