Ten goals in nine games: Savo Milosevic (Saragosa)

Saragosa beat Santander 4-1 in the round 9 of the Spanish football championship and a man of the match was Yugoslav player Savo Milosevic, who scored hat-trick and placed himself on the second place of the best goalscorers in Spanish League with 10 goals in nine games.

Lazio defeated Lecce 4-2 in the Olympic Stadium in Rome and after 7 rounds still hold the top spot of Italian football league. Lazio's best efforts came from Yugoslav player Dejan Stankovic, who scored twice, while another Yugoslav player Sinisa Mihajlovic set up a goal, providing the cross for Pancaro .

Lazio keeps top of the Group A in the European Champions' League. Team from Rome drew 1-1 at home with Bayer 04 Leverkusen and the only goal for Lazio was scored in the 1st minute by Pavel Nedved from close range after a corner kick by Sinisa Mihajlovic, who had scored for Lazio from free-kick in the match in Leverkusen.

Winning over Norwegian Molde (3-1), Portuguese champion Porto secured the place in the further competitions of the European Champions' League. Porto was superior in every department and the opening goal was scored after 36 seconds, when Porto's and Yugoslavia's player Ljubinko Drulovic escaped marker player and crossed to Deco, who hit the ball home.
