Predrag Mijatovic returned to the football field in a glorious way after an injury break. After excellent play and two goals he scored for the Yugoslav national team in match versus Macedonia, Mijatovic stood out in jersey of Fiorentina in a match of the 23rd round of the Italian championship versus Parma which was defeated by guests from Florence with score 4-0. Although there was no first striker of the team, Batistuta, Fiorentina showed great efficiency, mainly thanks to the Yugoslav international player who assisted in two goals and scored one from a free kick.

Real Zaragoza defeated Celta Vigo with score 2-1 in the 26th round of Spanish Championship with goal of Save Milosevic in the 73rd minute. This victory enabled the team of Real Zaragoza to stay on second position of the table.




Predrag Stojakovic, playing his second season at the NBA, contributed to great results of Sacramento Kings team. In a match versus Philadelphia, on February 6th, young Yugoslav basketball player scored 20 points. Ten days later, he beat his own record for one point, and on February 20th, he scored 25 points. Only a day after, in a match versus Denver, Stojakovic showed up in the Sacramento's lineup, instead of Nick Anderson, who was ill. This was the best match he played in his NBA career, scoring 30 points, six rebounds and three assists in 38 minutes.


The team of Sisley won the Volleyball Cup of Italy for this year, defeating in final match in Milan, in front of 12.000 viewers, a team of Brescia - 3-0 (25-20, 25-14, 27-25). This was the first trophy of the captain of the Yugoslav national team Nikola Grbic, while Brescia, in which both Goran Vujovic and Andrija Geric played, made an accomplishment just by playing in the final match of this championship.

Geric won a special prize for the fastest service in the tournament. His service flew 112 km/h.
