Yugoslavia rushes towards a medal in Sidney

Hanover, Germany, May 11th - Triumphing over the Rumanians with a score 8-4, in a game of the qualification tournament in Hanover, Yugoslav water polo selection secured its place in the Olympic games in Sidney.

The winner of this game was known already after the first quarter when the Yugoslavs, thanking to their firm defense and the efficient attack, led with the convincing 4-0.

Before the last round of the second competition phase, when on May 12th it will meet France, Yugoslavia is still the first placed team of group "E" with seven points, in front of Holland with six points.
