Mateja Kezman hits four as PSV hammer Heerenveen

PSV striker Mateja Kezman scored four goals as the champions hammered Heerenveen 4-1 in the Dutch first division on Saturday.

Kezman took advantage of a defensive mistake and after a neat one-two with Adil Ramzi, the ball went back in the middle where the national player of Yugoslavia drilled the ball in the goal to open the scoring for PSV.

Five minutes later Arnold Bruggink crossed from the right to Kezman, who headed home his second of the match and his fifth goal of the season On the stroke of half-time PSV put the match beyond doubt as Kezman notched his hat-trick with an excellent strike from distance.

Eleven minutes before the end of the game Kezman went on to score his and PSV's fourth goal of the night to highlight the dominance of the visitors. Arnold Bruggink went on a penetrating run and released the ball with perfect timing for Kezman to slide the ball beyond the keeper from close range.

Mika Nurmela brought his team a consolation goal and what a cracker it was. A 20-yard free-kick was curled round the wall by the Heerenveen player and into the net.

PSV moved up to second overall with 27 points from 12 matches.
