YUGOSLAVIA - Japan 3-2

Podgorica, YUGOSLAVIA, June 8 - The first set started with constant lead of the host team. Japan did not give up and fought hard in the second set. Yugoslavia managed to win this period of the game as well.

Unexpectedly in the third set, the Japanese team started with a high difference of five points. The 2000 gold medallists lost their concentration allowing the opponents to win the following two sets. Finally, after many problems, much experienced Yugoslavs ended the fifth set with 15-10.
