Denmark, May 6 - Yugoslavia was defeated by England in the quarterfinal match of the European Under-17 Football Championship in Denmark. The only scorer was Wayne Rooney in the 7th minute. Stacy Long sent in a teasing cross from the left and Rooney rose high to glance a header past a helpless goalkeeper Igor Baletic and into the far corner.

In the semifinal England will face Switzerland, while Spain will play against France.
