France - Yugoslavia 3-1

Dijon, FRANCE, June 29 (fivb.ch) - The French team confirmed its initial victory against Yugoslavia winning for the second time in the World League Saturday night in Dijon 3-1 (19-25, 25-20,25-22,25-18). In spite of an excellent beginning during the first set (19-25), and an excellent defense, the Yugoslavians did not manage to find the right solution afterwards, versus the French players Patin at the set and Marquet at the attack who replaced De Kergret and Capet.

Paris, FRANCE, June 28 (fivb.ch) - France scored a clear 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-18) victory at home in Paris over Olympic champions Yugoslavia on Friday in the first Pool D match of the World League. The French were efficient servers and put on an impressive display of well-coordinated block and defense to emerge the logical winners.

The Yugoslavs were ahead 18-15 in the second set, but smart action by Antiga, Capet and Granvorka woke up the French who leveled at 18-all and went on to take the set 22-19.
