Yugoslavia - Hungary 5-3

Bari, ITALY, August 10 - Yugoslav national junior water polo team won the European title for the fourth time in a row. In the gold medal match of the 2002 Men's European Junior Water Polo Championships in Bari, Yugoslavia, coached by Dejan Udovicic, beat Hungary 5-3 (2-1, 2-0, 0-0, 1-2) to capture the gold medal. Before 1000 spectators Yugoslavia finally proved as the more patient team, which could also rely on its good defence line.

City Swimming Pool in Bari. Attendance: 1,000. Goals in man-up: Yugoslavia 3/9, Hungary 3/9.
