European integration still a priority

Belgrade, March 13, 2003 - Serbian Minister of International Economic Relations Goran Pitic said that the murder of Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic will not result in a decrease in foreign investments.

Pitic said that the world is openly ready to help Serbia at this moment in time because the international community understands the consequences of Prime Minister Djindjic's murder and the need to continue to support Serbia.

He reiterated that the country's economy is not in jeopardy at any level, and that economic reforms will go on in order to realise one of the late Prime Minister's objectives. He added that the government will continue working on European integration, as that was part of the overall vision of the government and in particular Prime Minister Djindjic.
