Serbia and Montenegro - Russia 3-1

Zagreb, CROATIA, April 27 - Having beaten Russia 3-1 (25-27, 25-21, 25-17, 25-19) in the third place match, Serbia and Montenegro won bronze medal at the Girls Under-18 European Volleyball Championship in Zagreb, Croatia.

It was the first ever youth medal for the country of the Men's Olympic Champion.

"Bojan Stranic" Hall in Zagreb. Attendance: 1,000.

SERBIA-MONTENEGRO: Ana Antonijevic, Nevena Djordjevic, Marija Mratinkovic, Ana Jaksic, Mirjana Djuric, Jovana Vesovic, Sanja Hanusic (cap) Dusanka Karic, Aleksandra Crncevic, Tamara Rakic, Mirjana Komlenovic, Mina Kalinic. Coach: Zorica Lazic.

In the match for the gold medal, Croatia demolished Italy 3-0 (25-13, 25-14, 25-18).

Final standings: 1. Croatia, 2. Italy, 3. Serbia and Montenegro, 4. Russia, 5. Germany...
