40 bodies exhumed from Pristina cemetery

Pristina / Kursumlija, June 19, 2003 - Forensic experts of the Exhumation and Identification Centre at the Coordinating Centre for Kosovo-Metohija, in cooperation with UNMIK exhumed 40 bodies from the Dragodan II cemetery in Pristina in the past two days, said Exhumation and Identification Centre head Slavisa Dobricanin.

According to Dobricanin, the mortal remains of Serbs, ethnic Albanians and Roma included eight babies, the Beta news agency reported.

The bodies were transported to the Orahovac Autopsy Centre where they will be identified and returned to their families.

Dobricanin also announced exhumation of bodies from the Orthodox cemetery in Dajkovica.
