Serbia&Montenegro - Greece 3-0

Karlsruhe, GERMANY, September 10 (www.volleyball2003.de) - Serbia & Montenegro is the first team to be qualified for the semifinals of the Men's European Championship.

The current European and Olympic Champion demolished Greece in three straight sets. The Serbs clinched the victory in just more than one hour and showed the spectators in Karlsruhe that the team is still one of the major favorites for the title. In all sets, Serbia & Montenegro started very slow. Only at the middle of each sets, star spikers Ivan Miljkovic, Vladimir Grbic and Goran Vujevic started to make points. Star of the Serbian team was again setter Nikola Grbic, who was not only setting excellent, but also served and defended great.

SERBIA&MONTENEGRO: Jokanovic, Vasic, Janic, won one point, Boskan, Mester 6, Mijic, N. Grbic 5, V. Grbic 11, Geric 9, Vujevic 10, Miljkovic 10.

GREECE: Christofidelis, Gkiourdas 11, Chatziantoniou 4, Kyriazis 4, Kournetas, Stefanou, Tsakiropolous, Roumeliotis 7, Ntrakovits 2, Pantaleon, Lappas 1, Prousalis.
