Trondheim, NORWAY, October 29, 2003 (AP) - Midfielder Orjan Berg was sent off with two yellow cards as Rosenborg was held to a 0-0 draw by Red Star Belgrade in a second-round, first-leg UEFA Cup match Wednesday.

Rosenborg went down to 10 players at the start of the second half as Berg saw his second yellow card in 10 minutes for faking a fall inside the penalty box.

The visitors nearly capitalized on their one-man advantage in the 71st minute when Sanibal Orahovac placed his shot just wide of the post.

Earlier, Stale Stensaas could have put the home side ahead when he was set up nicely by Roar Strand, but sent his shot over the bar.

Harald Martin Brattbakk had a good chance in the middle of the first after being left unattended inside the box, but couldn't get his shot past Dragan Sarac.

Norwegian goalkeeper Espen Johnsen saved a Red Star free kick from the edge of the box in the 39th.

The second leg will be played in Belgrade on Nov. 27.
