Privatisation to boost agriculture

Bac/Sombor, Dec 22, 2003 - Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Zivkovic said on his visit to Bac that privatisation will yield capital, which will be used to boost agriculture and announced that land proprietary issues will be then addressed.

Zivkovic met with Bac mayor Tomislav Bogunovic and discussed the development of the Serbian agriculture. The Prime Minister said that the funds from the Development Fund could be made use of by socially owned enterprises too.

After the visit to Selenca-based Slovan-Progres fruit and vegetable processing plant, Zivkovic said that this respected company is the best example of how to use the Development Fund means successfully.

Zivkovic also paid a visit to Backo Novo Selo, the border line with Croatia on the river Danube and construction site on the Plavna Tacka-Bodjani road. After that, the Prime Minister attended the 50th anniversary ceremony of the aviation centre in Sombor.
