Prime Minister, footballers on St. Sava Temple donations

Belgrade, Jan 26, 2004 - Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Zivkovic met on Monday with Serbia-Montenegrin celebrated football stars Predrag Mijatovic, Savo Milosevic, Dejan Stankovic, Slavisa Jokanovic, and Jovan Stankovic, who had collected donations for the completion of the St. Sava Temple in Belgrade

On behalf of the Society for Construction of St. Sava Temple, Zivkovic thanked the football players on their contributions.

According to the football players, the funds were raised at a donors' dinner in Madrid, Spain, on Jan 12, which gathered 30 Serbia-Montenegrin footballers.

The smallest single contribution was €10,000.

Serbian Minister of Education and Sport Gaso Knezevic and Minister of Religion Vojislav Milovanovic also attended the meeting with the football players.
