Minimum net wages up 15 percent

Belgrade, Feb 3, 2004 - Representatives of the Serbian government, three major trade unions and the Serbian Association of Employers have agreed to set minimum monthly net wages at 5,394 dinars for the next six months.

Minimum net hourly pays will increase by 15 percent, to 31 dinars, said Serbian Minister of Labour and Employment Minister Dragan Milovanovic, adding that the minimum wage increase is in line with the projected annual inflation of seven percent, consumer price basket of 10,978 dinars and a five percent salary raise.
