Serbia's road signalisation in line with European standards

Belgrade, Feb 25, 2004 - Serbia's new road sign regulations, which took effect on Wednesday, have been brought up to European Union vertical and horizontal signalisation standards, the Serbian Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications said in a statement.

When it comes to vertical signalisation, the new regulations envisage the use of yellow colour only for special purpose signs, such as road construction or maintenance warning signs.

In accordance with EN 1436, horizontal signalisation regulations stipulate white road markings, the statement said.

The regulations also include new guide and information signs and an in-depth coverage of illuminated traffic signs.
