Belgrade, Feb 26, 2004 - The Serbian government adopted changes and amendments to the decree on customs procedure and the collection of customs duty at a session on Thursday.

The changes and amendments, adopted to bring the decree in line with Serbia's new Customs Law, concern transit procedure in railway transport and ways of import duty payment. They also stipulate duty-free temporary imports of household appliances and transport vehicles for foreign natural persons, as well as duty-free temporary imports of equipment for embassies and consulates.

As part of the session, the government appointed 42 deputy public prosecutors from Kosovo-Metohija.
