UNMIK hands over missing Serb's body

Pristina, March 15, 2004 - UNMIK representatives have handed over the mortal remains of Milovan Vukmirovic, who went missing near the Kosovo town of Obilic on October 9, 1998.

The body was exhumed on February 10 this year and the handover took place at the Babin Most in Kosovo today.

Experts from the Serbian Coordinating Centre for Kosovo-Metohija said Vukmirovic had been killed with a gun.

In 1998, Vukmirovic and ten other Serbs were forced out of a bus driving them to work by armed members of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) near the village of Grabovac.

Vukmirovic is the first one whose fate has been resolved since then.
